    As a dedicated associate attorney at Rogers & Brackin, William “Gil” Buie IV, specializes in family law, serving clients across Tennessee.     Gil's journey in the legal profession began at Christian Brothers High School, where he graduated in 2011. He was a member of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps for a brief period before discovering his passion for law. He obtained a degree in philosophy with a concentration in legal and political philosophy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2015. Eager to further his expertise, Gil attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. There, he graduated as a Juris Doctor in 2018, along with a Certificate in Tax Law, showcasing his dedication to understanding the multifaceted nature of legal practice.

    In addition to his formal education, Gil has made significant contributions to the legal community. He is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He authored the insightful article “Tennessee Family Law: New Laws in 2021,” which was published in Tennessee Attorneys Memo, demonstrating his thought leadership in the field. His peers have recognized his professional achievements and commitment to excellence, being selected to Super Lawyer's list of Rising Stars in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
